Some People Think That Football is a Matter of Life and Death. I Assure You, it's Much More Serious Than That

It's that time of year again. There is a crispness in the air in the morning, and soon the leaves will turn.

I love this time of year. And it all starts with football. The pressed jerseys have been pulled from the cedar drawer, and I made my first visit of the season to the British Butcher to select my Sunday brunch sausage for the boys. One must always pick up a tin of Coleman's Dry Mustard powder for afternoon sandwiches as well.

I can't help but think of Tim Russert as this season opens as well. I think America could use his guidance now more than ever. And I hope somewhere up there he is cheering on his beloved Bills.

Go Jets!!
